Guys,
Was surfing youtube and came across a couple vids about a Turkish manufacturer called Tisas that makes licensed copies of quite a few popular firearms at a pretty reasonable price.
What is the scoop in these?

OK hunters:
I am going to be 70 in Sept.
My hips are shot, and I am not anywhere close to being a young man capable of what it takes to be an independent deer hunter.
Dragging is out of the question.
Barring the remote possibility that I may find a club or group that wouldn't mind...
Had some experience for the first time with a Frank Beltrame switchblade.
9 inch stiletto.
While the craftsmanship is undeniable and the lock up as tight as any of the best folders I've encountered, the blade was as dull as a butter knife and the point about as pointy as a sharpened...
Not really a knife guy so to speak;
But I bought a Kershaw Link from Amazon at a very reasonable price and I am totally satisfied.
Excellent edge and slick enough opening as I could ask for.
That is all.

I have often read that the 1911 was designed to carried cocked and locked.
But since it was originally a military side arm, wouldn't it be accurate to assume it was originally designed as a sidearm secondary to a long arm (in a combat scenario) to be carried with a fully loaded mag and an...
Who was the outfitter? Was it Buffalo Creek Guide Service?
Please give a detailed review of the entire hunt.
Food, accommodations if you don't mind.

OP here,
I am an old fart fellas, going on 70 and this pistol will be probably rarely fired and mainly stored in a bedroom pistol safe ready for protective purposes.
How would you keep it lubed if that were the case for you?

I have an old sheath knife from about the early 1960s.
It is of low quality and the name on the blade is Schrade Walden.
Anyone know anything about this knife?

OP here (again).
I just received from Amazon a Kershaw Link 1776.
The edge is vastly superior to the Oso Sweet.
It is 420HC steel.
I don't know if that is why or the fact that it is made in USA but it IS shaving sharp.

OP again.
Did a google search of knife sharpening businesses in AA Co.
I have a Lansky system (somewhere!) but thought I'd search the net anyway.
Lo and behold there is one The Grinding Company less than a half hour from me that charges $2 per knife to sharpen, and they have 15 positive...
