      Take it to an authorized dealer and they will tell you if it is worth servicing to sell or not. Ideally they should be serviced every 2-3 years. Or at least that is what I was told and have done.

      Billet Aluminum Upper - Polished

      The best way I have used oven cleaner is put it in a bag and seal it. Let it sit for an hour or two and the surface with be brand new. I use this for my charcoal bbq's every few seasons.

      I have an M&P 15 and just added a few things to it. First was the Vortex Strikefire and a 3x magnifier. Both are quick release so I can use them on either my AR or Saiga, which is handy. I picked them up over Xmas and the whole setup was $220 or something. It is a pretty nice little setup for me.
