Agreed and I almost didn't ask the question, but if it's occurred to me then it's occurred to lots of other people as well. Just seemed so obvious that I assumed I must be missing something about the way rifles/pistols/SBRs/AOWs are classified by OAL...
I'm curious about the prerequisite for using the score sheet which states "The weapon must have an overall length between 12 and 26 inches." Does this mean that an AR-15 pistol with a pistol brace and a barrel long enough to get the OAL over 26" will not be considered an SBR?
I'm definitely no expert, but I've watched a couple youtube videos so...
I can't vouch for the quality of the guidance here, but it's a decent place to start researching: https://old.reddit.com/r/QualityTacticalGear/comments/cmkton/armor_purchasing_guide/
tldr; buy ceramic instead...
Good plates from a reputable company. Downsides are that they're only single curve and are on the heavy side. Solid choice for plates if you're not planning on spending a lot of time running around in them.
He gave the muzzle energy out of a 5" barrel and stated that it will have even higher muzzle energy out of a 6" barrel. Can you not read or do you just choose to not read?
Serious question: What has the NRA done lately to protect my second amendment rights? Have they lobbied for the repeal of gun control laws? Have they filed lawsuits on behalf of citizens whose rights have been infringed?
I'm not saying they haven't done good things. But the perception is...
This. I don't care why the politicians make pro-2A decisions as long as they do so. And when they do things that we approve of, we should applaud them loudly and publicly. Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture here.
It looks like they approved the SP9A1. I assume this means the A2 has not been approved yet, and the A3 will need to go through the approval process as well?
I know a firearms instructor who did his best to pin down the MSP on this issue. The final answer he got was something to the effect of "Use your best judgement and do whatever is in the best interest of public safety". And no, that would most likely not be MSP's official stance in a court of law.
IANAL but I think this is exactly what they are doing. This is what groups like the NRA should have been doing for a long time now. Good on Florida Carry for doing something proactive to get our 2A rights back.
