Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

You may have said this tongue-in-cheek but my old 500 went from ok on the line to making me look good after installing an SGA. Apparently my frame likes it.

      Acronym list

During my days as a small engine tech, in response to frustration over dumb homeowners, we would write "RTFM" on the work order sent to the office. "Read The Factory Manual". We claimed the F stood for Factory, but everyone knew better. I don't believe it was ever put on a final invoice.

Do you remember using or owning one of these Mossberg bolt action shotguns

A heads-up about Poly-chokes. When the muzzle is measured with calipers, the label on mine that says what choke it's set at isn't accurate. Since I've realized that, I haven't patterned it, but it was way too far open.

Do you remember using or owning one of these Mossberg bolt action shotguns

Several years ago, a coworker needed a little cash & sold me one for $40. I thought it was one like my dad's but turns out his is an H&R 348. I've always found the rifle style stock to be comfortable to shoot and a rather natural pointer. I hand it to first time shooters & they seem to take to...

      M&P 10 - PRS gen1 Stock Delete

Sorry, one more question. What about the buffer spring? 308 specific?

      M&P 10 - PRS gen1 Stock Delete

      M&P 10 - PRS gen1 Stock Delete

The rifle length like in the picture? Numrich has factory stocks and both stock and buffers look like short carbine ones.

      M&P 10 - PRS gen1 Stock Delete

I want to eliminate the existing stock as the cheek riser can't be used. I may have to swap out the extension tube, so I'm wondering if milspec tubes can be used.

      M&P 10 - PRS gen1 Stock Delete

I came across this rifle that the owner couldn't lock the bolt back with the charging handle and otherwise ran poorly. With the cheek riser up even a bit, the charging handle would be stopped from traveling rearward enough to lock. Further inspection revealed the bolt was hitting the receiver...

Sig P365 - Which Model Are You Carrying?

All I know is their website details which kit is for what. I'm not familiar with the dimple ones so I won't elaborate.

Sig P365 - Which Model Are You Carrying?

Yes. Didn't think it was possible but it turns out the conversion gives you best of both worlds.

Sig P365 - Which Model Are You Carrying?

I carry the X. I didn't care for the very small size of the original grip or the curved trigger. For days when I want a bit more concealment, I bought a standard size WC grip (love it), a 10 round mag and a Mag-Gut kit to boost back up to 12 rounds. After going through 100 rounds to test the...

      SHOTGUN PoRn

As totally cool the receiver work is, I really like the subtle look of the stock

Marlin-Ballard .22? What exactly is this?

I always thought Ballard was a particular type of rifling cut.

For trade Texan reloader - Parts

Here's a Texan 12ga reloader that's missing a primer cup and, I believe, a bushing in the charge bar. I'm open to anything from rimfire ammo to shotshell components to anything that's been forgotten in the back of the junk drawer.

Is a pushed in bullet safe to shoot?

The cardboard was pristine, not a mark or blemish. The rounds surrounding the bad one were fine.

Is a pushed in bullet safe to shoot?

I have one other box, same lot. Everything seems to be normal in that one. I'm just writing off that single round and gonna go have fun.

Is a pushed in bullet safe to shoot?

I stripped my pistol & with the barrel in my hand, it dropped right into place.

Is a pushed in bullet safe to shoot?

Not worried about trashing it. Thought it'd be a good time to learn something new.

Is a pushed in bullet safe to shoot?

I slid the plastic tray out of the box & it was real obvious that this round had issues. Do I throw it in the pond for safe disposal or is it safe to shoot? I"ve never seen this, so I'm asking. I'm thinking the pressures would get weird real quick.
