True enough, and I'm sympathetic to the pain of some of those reasons such as running away from a painful life situation, or habitual use you can't get out of - though <insert substance> will never be the solution and in the long-term only make both worse.
But what makes me more frustrated than...
Similar but not exact things can be said - I think the differences are important.
Where the same things can be said about alcohol and tobacco I think they're worth saying.
Some critical differences:
1. The broken lives and deaths due to all hard drugs (combined) rivals if not exceeds that of...
It's disgusting to smell, has horrible long term effects on the individual, has the ability to involuntarily intoxicate others 2nd hand, has a degrading effect on society, has no widely adopted process for determining level of intoxication and has many from all different classes unknowingly...
Serious question, if they're going to be doing data entry and learning unique software from scratch, why do they need engineering/electronics experience?
Wouldn't someone who can learn be fine regardless of background?

I'm green with regards to non-ferrous stuff so good info in this thread
If you do your calculations right on headspacing and oxygen absorbers, it will be effective without necessarily causing the bag to completely shrink tight like a vacuum seal, so don't worry if you wind up with a different look then vacuum sealed bags you should have the same net effect on dried...
I went with Wallaby brand mylar bags (Amazon) as well as oxygen removers. They're good quality stuff, a little more expensive than the super cheap ones on Amazon but really not by that much and with a good name you guaranteed the bags aren't pre-creased or the oxygen absorbers already wasted...
Just finishing up the second two a four boxes we put in the front yard built with true one by six White oak from the local sawmill here on Eastern shore.
For two of them I charred the inside as a waterproofing measure, well see how that works

Picked up a load of true 1x6 rough cut white oak boards from Johnson Lumber in Easton last week. Going to build some raised beds with them, hope to get 10 years out of the boards, they are a true 1" thick.
Cut each one of them down to 12' for the sides, and use the 4' portion for the ends -...
Nope just straight out of the bulk bags we bought it in.
And to be honest our rationale is probably a bit different than most in the prep game, truth be told I'm about 99.9% certain that we'll wind up eating this slowly over the years so it doesn't go to waste or our kids will inherit it and...
We have a number of Mountain House number 10 cans for emergency use, but every year on our camping trip will take one of them with us as an easy meal on a day when we're doing hiking.
We just started putting away rice in mylar bags and we will probably rotate through them but some kind of...
My brother is making some pemmican this year, it pretty much ticks all the boxes here: fruits, dried meat, fat all in one 'good for a long time' package
