The show was very good today. Tables were full and people were buying. Some people came and left happy, staying only a little while, saying they got what they came for. Quite a few ladies buying handguns.
The vendors were happy and a few vendors said best show they ever had.
The FFL doing...
I looked at this one this morning at the show. It was a 30-06, older period correct Redfield 4x widefield, in very nice condition, price reduced to $550 and was gone this afternoon.
Back before 1970, it seemed half of everybody hunted deer with a 30-30 lever action, at least in PA. Then after that they all were buying Remington 760 in 30-06. I worked in a gunshop in the 1980's, for deer rifles we sold mostly Rem. 742's or 760's for PA because you can't use a semi-auto in...
A guy had a nice 760 for sale, not sure, not sure why I even remember it, but I THINK it was $700 with a scope in 270. At the Bel Air Gunshow, first table on the left as you walk in the door.
I've been seeing some of these going for over $1000.
There were some empty tables that were bought and paid for, probably because it was Friday and they didn't get off of work in time. A good many vendors got there just before the show opened.
There still was a good turn out probably because it was only $5. A good amount of veterans came and got...
Very Pleasant Transaction!
Easy, no problems, good on his word.
Nice guy, good contact and communication, made a new friend, hope to meet again. Thanks!
I don't know, maybe contact the promoter, there's a link in the OP.
Some of the vendors who do all the shows will not be there being there's another show in Chantilly, VA and I think West Friendship. They did pick up
a bunch of new guys though from MDS.
I heard yesterday that there's also...
Reinventing the old Browning A5/Remington 11 and Browning designed Remington model 8/81 from 1908.
The old recoil operated guns were very reliable when recoil was kept to certain parameters.
I'm curios to see that too, if someone comes out with a bolt action.
The rimmed case is not considered ideal for a box magazine because of the rim end being fatter and the rim catching on the cartridge below in a box magazine. There's been a few 30-30 bolt actions over the years, also 22 Hornet...
Saami spec show the 350 Legend bullet .354-.357"(.357-.0030) That's only a few .001" smaller than the .358". Hornady loads a .355 bullet while Winchester uses a .357 designed for rifle velocities.
The real question is why Winchester didn't just go with a .358 and use existing .35 caliber rifle...
Actually the only thing the 350 shares in common with the 5.56 or any other cartridge is the head. The 350 Legend case is a totally different designed case and can't be made from other casings, one of the 350's downfalls.
A few years ago I shipped some guns across the country to Seattle, WA.
The guns were part of an estate. The guy in WA basically googled gun shops and found Duffy's in Blackrock Baltimore County. He paid Duffy's with a credit card over the phone and I simply walked in their shop, handed them the...

Made by Mike Elchin, Portage, PA. 1974
I bought this bow new in 1974 from the maker Mike Elchin in Portage PA. He showed it to me when he started building it and he reserved it for me when it was finished.
The draw weight is 42#, I recently checked it on a scale and that's...
The 2.5-8 VX3 Leupold is compact with full, no-compromise optics, not much bigger than a 4X. I'm not sure if anyone is making a quality 4X rifle scope anymore. For me, there's times in thick woods I find 4X too big for close up work. I leave my scope on 2.5 most of the time and a simple twist to...
I have a Vari-X III 2.5-8 Leupold on my 45-70 Marlin. Between me and my kids, we have at least a dozen of the same scopes, either VariX-III or VX3, on most all our deer guns. It's a good comprise between power, compact and price. I can see the target and crosshairs long after I can't see a deer...
No, all is good. It is ironic though that most gun shows don't allow CCW.
In PA where concealed carry is more acceptable, they check you at the door. At one show they allowed you to carry but unloaded. They had a little bullet trap they would make you dryfire into. One time a gun did go off into...
National Guard Armory, from what I gather the National Guard is controlled by the state. The Izaac Walton League Harford County Chapter is just renting the venue, they don't own it.
If somebody took a 16 hour CCW class, they should know the rules.
