Right, but if a bill passes to change that law....those points are no longer against the law, they are the law. Which is why it's so critically important the Rs hold on to the Senate.

There's also the Gen 1 vs Gen 2 issue with DPMS pattern, i.e. low vs high rails. That can be an issue for handguard, gas block/front sight, and other part compatibility.
