As long as the gas tube flange isn't jacked up, you can re-use the gas key. Running it over a fine sharpening stone evens it up and trues the surface a bit more.

I'm going to try that elevating the pot and ingot idea. I have a bunc of landscape pavers that may do the trick. That bending over kills me. Especially since I am usually working with wheel weights...

It's a shame you cant melt it down into smaller ingots. I would probably go the hammer and chisel route too. That lead dust slinging around wouldn't be good at all!!!

I got mine today. Unfortunately, the description was accurate this time. It is rusty. Not just the blade, down in the pommel area where the spring latches are at.

Hopefully I can get it cleaned up.
