Thanks for all the info. I am definitely thinking that she would shoot 38 spl or 38 +p but if I went 357 it would give it more flexibility and I might learn to enjoy it. I will start with these.

Vortex diamondback tactical in 4-16. With 20 moa rail I can get to 475 yds with all the reticle and knobs. I find it's a decent squirrel gun to at 4x.

In early February I had this weird feeling and ordered nearly $1,000 in primers. This is way more then I ever buy. I feel good about that, but I have almost no powder, so it's almost worthless.
