I am actually sympathetic to the idea that certs aren't experience - my certs are nearly at the bottom of my resume, and I'm not one of those people who puts "name, PMP" on things. I have legit PM...

It's hard to be objective when you don't own both, because there's always some part of you trying to justify buying one over the other when you don't own both.

Personally, I'm a realist. I own...

Yeah, I'll dig them both out of the safe tonight and you can see the side-by-side. Much as I rag on the AUG in this thread, it's really a nice enough rifle; I just think it has not aged as well as...

Can't say I've had that issue with the Tavor or the AUG. In my experience, cheek weld issues on the Tavor tend to be related to optic height. You want to use optics that are at "1/3 AR-15 co-witness...

I don't understand the AUG love on here, and as I've mentioned, I currently own both the AUG A3 and a Tavor and have pretty significant trigger time behind both. Maybe I have different priorities.

There has been ~125% inflation since 1985. So a buck in 1985 is equivalent to $2.25 now. That $700+$200 registered Uzi was the equivalent of $2k back in the day... which is to say, a considerable...

The only reason to buy a 553 is to make it a safe queen. The second you SBR it, you're going to have to engrave it and possibly replace a bunch of parts. It is an ill-advised choice for this endeavor.
