The A2 peep is designed to be directly in the centerline of the sight assembly, so even if it is twisted a bit, the peep is still in alignment. Not very aesthetically pleasing, but functional.

In my experience, the locking mechanism on the PEPR QD mount was shit. Nevermind RTZ, it wouldn't hold zero even without removing it. Definitely get the non-QD if you go this route.

I have a CMP M14 stock on mine. Fits just fine. Only problem is, you'll be sad when you see the empty cutout for the select fire switch. :(
