The actual rifle is a license sold to RRA from Bushmaster. The LAR-8 is actually a Bushmaster 308. Bushmaster couldn't resolve the inch and metric mag issue, so they sold it to RRA.

I have a 1:7 with an AAC barrel, but 1:8 will work too.

I've had good luck with this company and their Value-Line series of barrels. Used numerous 556 barrels in 16" and a single 12.5" from them....
