Are you sure those were 1943 M44s? An estimated 3.4 million M91/30s were made in 1943, so those are relatively common, along with almost a million 1943 dated M38s, and in 1944/45 they made about 3.5...

That was me. And I know it's a premium price, but given that out of the almost 8 million M44s made only 50,000 or so were made in 1943, I'm thinking not too many more opportunities will come along....

I find they shoot the same, but whereas a lot of the Soviet M44s I have are in very good condition, the majority of the T53s I've seen look like they were set on fire, buried in a swamp, then dug up...
