Netting?

I remember attending a show at Marriottsville and the DNR had set up an archery range and backstop was netting. It was arranged so that would be hard to have an arrow escape even when you screw up...

I have bought many Dells over the years and each one seemed worse than the prior. I called a buddy and asked if Macs were worth it. He replied, they seem to never get a virus! I went to the Apple...

Wyoming Sight Drifter

The above is a specialty tool I find worthwhile since I shoot a lot of lever guns and single shots with a simple blade sight that needs to be drifted for windage. Costs $35 for the original. About...

Please keep 25-20 at least for a good trial. I bought Marlin CL in that caliber and love it. Very accurate. It is fairly easy to reload. You can even reform 32-20 to 25-20 if necessary. If you need...

I am 70 and shoot 45-70s

I have a 45-70 Marlin CB and 45-70 Uberti High Wall one of which goes to range nearly every time. If you shoot at Hap Baker let me know and he can shoot mine. I also have a .357 Big Boy and a 25-20...

No gap seems to be the one constant with BP. Do you just seat the bullet on the powder with a bit of compression or do you use a wad between bullet and powder. I want to keep this simple for now.

I just ordered some BP bullets and picked up can of Goex and book on BP loading. Going to try BP in 38-55. Oh and have plenty of Ballistol to help clean up afterward. Kind of daunting to load it. I...

Amendment to prior post

After making above post I got to thinking I should make about 50 25-20 out of the 32-20. The first 5 were perfect. I took out sizer and put in flaring die to make sure necks didn't split.

Then...

High Wall update

I have shot my Uberti quite a bit and it hits the 500 yard dinger at Delmarva when I can find a spotter. Easy enough when you interest another shooter into trying your rifle. I have yet to try BP in...

25-20 from 32-20

I have made some 25-20 this way using RCBS Cowboy dies and lubricating cases with Hornady Oneshot. About 9-10 gentle pumps on press handle to work case fully into 25-20 sizing die making sure case...

Thanks Sewer Rat. Took your advice and see they do have "Schuetzen" matches which appear to be what I am looking for.

Any Buffalo type gun matches locally?

I would like to try competing with my 45-70 single shot and/or Marlin CB also 45-70. Not yet a black powder loader but do use vernier sights. Like shooting the dingers at Delmarva. Can anyone point...

Just got one!

Ordered one from Hinterland and have put 60 rounds through. I think shoots well considering has semi-buckhorn sights and I am not a good shot. It is lighter than my Henry Big Boy. Action very smooth....

Delmarva Sporting Clays

Went on Friday on way to bike ride. Was quite crowded at first but thinned out so I got a spot within a few minutes. Was shooting my Uberti 1885 High Wall. I had never shot beyond 200 yards and...

Rifle chambered in 25-20 WCF

I am looking for something in 25-20 preferably Marlin lever but would consider Pretty much anything but bolt action. I want to shoot it and don't care much about appearance.

Joe, if you want to move beyond a 100 yards, you can go to Vienna on Eastern Shore. Delmarva Sorting Clays. 100, 200, 300 target and a 500 yard dinger. Not a bad facility. I have been there few times...
