I'm curious if the court looks at any cases currently on the docket but have not been to a conference?

If so then they could kill 2 birds with one stone and take Rogers over this case.

The case has passed a major hurdle toward SCOTUS review. It doesn't necessarily mean they will review but probably 99 percent get denied the first conference.

I think Freidman may be a good example on that. Judge Easterbrook said one defense of the AW law was if people "feel" safer. Not sure why that would need much explaining.

I say they punt simply because there's no split (there really can't be one because there's no other law like it) and public carry cases on the way will moot this one. It's just very limited in scope.
