I'm not even old and plates are the first thing I'd dump if I had to leave my vehicle or apartment behind for good. Someday when I get the ones that are buoyant, that'll be a different story.

I've never had issues with Vortex optics, but I'd recommend research first; not sure how they hold up to that...

At the end of the day it shouldn't be a big deal because of the vortex warranty, as long as you get the product... But its slimy business and most items don't have good warranties.
