Stopped at the local store on my way home this evening and found one :D They were nice enough to set it aside so I can go back tomorrow prepared with $ and take it home :innocent0

This rifle just screams put a can on me :D

The .38 specials I had today were fairly mellow already, this thing just dampens them down even more. A little shove into your shoulder but nothing even a first time or recoil sensitive person would notice. Like a big cap gun :lol2:

Trigger is nice, the racking action is smooth out of the box and with some use I bet it will get even better. Advertised as holding 7 in the tube, whether .38's or .357's and 8 of them actually fit right in there..

It was worth the wait

I would imagine Henry is going to end up producing a side gate loading .357 in wood configuration. Im fighting the urge to buy one of these myself, in the meantime.

I've had my .357/38 Big Boy All Weather for about a year and it is a great shooter, then last week I picked up the X Model in 44Mag/Spl and 200 Mag rounds for it. just need to find the time to clean it and go shoot it.

Put a Picatinny scope Mount and place a Vortex Venom Red dot. The cast for plonking ran 9.0 to 9.5 gr. Of 700 X not a max velocity round Im guessing around 1,450 FPS out of the 17.5 barrel. The XTPs are both using Winchester 296. 240s 23.5 gr to 24 gr. 300s 20.5 gr to 21 gr. Looking like I should get 1740 or so from the 240s and Round 1,525 or so from the 300s

I like it!! Just need to get that trigger down to 2.5 to 3 lb.

I'm tossing up buying an x model in 44 mag, or having a wooden stocked one cut down and threaded. Octane 45 and subsonics will be ran from day one.
