Backpacks for long term bugging out

I have a lot of 3-day backpacks. Looking at getting a bigger one for possible long term bugging out. Preferably made in the USA, because screw China and Europe. I'm looking at Mystery Ranch, but willing to look at others.

Surplus. You see surplus packs that are 30 plus year old still usable. You seldom see civilian packs that old that are serviceable

I dont think you need to look any further. A hiking buddy has a dana design and it holds everything but the kitchen sink. I have 2 ospreys that i absolutely love, but wont get more than 3 days out of it.

What area would you bug out?
Do you have family or solo?
Getting to an area where you have provisions it living off the land?
What season are you planning for?
Mountain.. Seaside... Plains... Or desert?

Be prepared to pay...

Check London Bridge Trading (https://lbtinc.com/) and Kelty (https://www.kelty.com/falcon-4000-usa/) also has a few made in the US..

Look for "Berry Compliant" for packs that would be sold to the DoD...

London Bridge is top notch. In the unit I served in in the USMC, we bought a lot of our own kit...we were issued standard combat gear but most went and got gear, sometimes custom made. Not cheap but I still have the gear 25 years later.

I have an Extended Range Operator Pack from Tactical Tailor. But they have other large packs as well. Give them a look. All US made.
