Which cartridges benefit the most using a suppressor

Everything should be suppressed, and every caliber benefits from it. Most supersonic rounds (including full power rifle rounds) sound approximately like an unsuppressed .22. Much nicer for the shooter/ hunter… and nicer for any folks out on the periphery/ in earshot, as well. In terms of...

Dipping my toe in the whisper pickle pool

I agree with those that say to just buy three upfront. Get a .22, a .45 pistol can (preferably with a ~70/30 split), and a .30 rifle can. This will cover you for everything from .22 all the way through 300 Norma mag. That’s where I started, but of course, now I have seven (it’s a slippery...

      Rifle suppressor on pistol

There shouldn’t be an issue with the suppressor, and the threads should match up. The main issue you will have is it being way bigger, and heavier than it needs to be. As for the lead, as long as you run a handful of full power rounds through it after every 100 22lr shots, you’ll be fine...

      Forced Reset Triggers

Interesting. Really wanted a binary for the SP5k, but this seems like a nice, legal trigger for an AR.

SBRing HK SP5 and B&T APC 45 Pro?

Just posted into the last link. Threaded rod is what I’d actually planned to use on my SP5k PDW, to make a custom folding stock… Until I remembered I wouldn’t be able to put my suppressor on it. I’m going to go AOW (two handed “pistol”), so I can still run the folding brace, with a fore grip...

      Collapsable HK Stock Build

Funny I just stumbled on this thread all these years later, but both of these designs, are the two that I was talking to my friend about doing for my SP5k PDW. Problem is, with it being a K, I’m more worried about being able to keep folder, and as such, I’m just going to be going to AOW (two...

MD laws when making an SBR

I feel dense, but I still do not understand the nuances of what SBRing a weapon now allows, and doesn’t allow. I know that the weapon needs to be over 29”, but does it need to meet any other metrics? Two different cases I’m personally interested in are... - Standard rifle is Form 1ed, and...

      Are SBR's legal in MD?

      Thanks!

      Are SBR's legal in MD?

Any Maryland AOW length/ feature rules?..

      Are SBR's legal in MD?

Don’t know why yours is being denied. Maybe the pistol version of your weapon is legal (ex... 9” Sig Virtus 300bo)... but the “rifle” version is outright banned (ex... Sig Virtus 300bo Rifle)? I’m not certain that’s how it works, but a friend of mine and I have had that exact debate. In my...

      Are SBR's legal in MD?

Slightly off topic but... I just picked up an SP5K PDW, and would like to make it an AOW (for the Vertical Fore Grip). I’d like to confirm that since this is an AOW (and not an SBR) it would still be legal in Maryland. Since it’s not a “rifle”, it does not need to comply with the evil...

HK has released a new MP5k PDW

Is this Maryland legal/ on the roster yet?

Jeremy Robinson Esq. - NFA Trust

Hello again, The document they sent me is above. Just screenshot it and print it. It was not a typeable (if that’s a word) document. Below their copy is the one I actually used). The Legal Zoom link that was mentioned earlier in this thread just gives direction to be a bit more...

Jeremy Robinson Esq. - NFA Trust

Hello fellas, Thank you so much for all the help! Yesterday, Silencer Shop actually sent me a blank, generic name change template. They send an reminder email each day (which I like). Their first two emails just said I needed to change the name, the next two emails, phrased differently...

Jeremy Robinson Esq. - NFA Trust

Thanks erwos! That LegalZoom document seems to be pretty good for something as basic as what I hoped to do. Additionally, it’s sort of confirms what my gut was. I had actually planned to write down when the Trust was originally done who I was, and state that I was allowed to amend it as the...
