      I agree with Biggfoot44. Looks like a Colt SAA Cavalry. Wish I knew how to import a picture for you, but an internet search will bring it up. Poulinauctions.com has some nice pictures . Pity grandpa didn’t pass it down.

      Welcome also from Middle River. FreeStateGunRange is very good and too convenient to pass up. You can't go wrong getting a membership there. Only problem with rifles there is the 25 yard max distance. Good people to deal with.

      Maryland Designated Regulated Firearms Collector

      DC time If this helps anyone: Sent my DC application from the main post office Baltimore City on 7/1, was told it was approved/sent on 8/14 and received my DC approval letter today 8/17. I did have prior Not Disapproved in the system.
