      York Fairgrounds February 27 & 28

Went today around 11. Didn't walk out with anything, but there were some fun things to look at. All the dealers I talked to were friendly, which is always a plus.

Picked up some ammo and showed a WV friend around while he mocked our 'cute' 10 round magazines.

      Frederick Gun Show, November 8 & 9, 2014

I'll be there Sunday. Haven't found much at shows recently but if nothing else it's fun to look around and handle some stuff.

You guys i hear complain about MD gunshows.

Agreed, three of my purchases this year were guns that I stumbled across at shows and hadn't been specifically searching for. I like the 'wonder what will I find today' feeling. Though I'd disagree with the younger person generalization, being young myself.

A bit fancy looking for my taste. Best of luck to you.

      Support Silverado Gunshows!

I've enjoyed every Silverado show I've been to, never regretted the price of admission.

Admittedly, I don't know what most of the markings mean. I remember the slide is marked 'cyq,' which is Spreewerk I believe. I'll put pics up once it's in hand.

      Howard county gun show!

Lots of interesting stuff this time around. Walked out with a yellow slip of paper and an empty wallet after finding a P38 that needed a home.

Sounds like a good time and a chance to learn some things! I'll be in Annapolis that weekend anyway, so I guess I'll have to check it out.

Thanks! You mentioned Arundel Game & Fish, do you need to be a member there to participate in their matches?

Recently found out about the sport, looking forward to the Damascus IWLA new shooter clinic in March! Don't have any of the guns/gear yet, I figure it's best to try stuff out at the clinic and a match or two to try to get a feel for what I like.

Where did all the Nagants (Revolvers) go?

Paid $229 for one at the Timonium show, there were a few others there for $260-275

      What's your favorite/recommended .22 handgun?

I've shot the 22/45 and the SR-22 a lot, so here's my thoughts on those: The only thing I have against the 22/45 is that it's kind of a pain to disassemble for cleaning. It feels great, shoots accurately, and looks very nice, especially if you opt for wood grips. The SR-22 is noticeably...

      Timonium Fairgrounds Jan 10,11 & 12

Spent a few hours at the show this morning. I went primarily to look at old handguns, and there were plenty. The Shooters' Discount staff in particular were great about letting me handle a bunch of their merchandise, I kept coming back to their tables for another look. I'd call that a good day.
