Post 6/23/2022 MD Wear & Carry Permit Application

Ahh, Ok. So that is a definitive list. The local for me that I checked on that list was about the same as your experience at about $65. I seem to recall going to MSP for my HQL and paying $80.

Post 6/23/2022 MD Wear & Carry Permit Application

Appreciate the reply! We've always stubbornly been of the "only family can properly take care of family" ilk, absolutely a stupid stance, I know. Too many people are well aware a break can be beneficial for all. You may have spurred me to rethink. ;-) In the meantime, I may be able to...

Post 6/23/2022 MD Wear & Carry Permit Application

Hmmm, I'm not sure I read that as an exclusive list of approved providers but it very well could be. That list did provide me a couple other local options at a little less than premium pricing. ;-/ Unfortunately, as a care provider for a family member I can only get away Thursday's and Friday's...

Post 6/23/2022 MD Wear & Carry Permit Application

That's an interesting one. Looks to be offered by PrintScan through UPS stores. The PrintScan appointment page offers 10 options to choose from. Unless you can choose ATF, FBI or Archive options I'm not sure where our needs as a MD resident CCW would fit.

      Hogan Addresses G and S!!!

Just a thought -- Since MD's CCW permitting requirements is so onerous, regarding the 16 hour class, what is the possibility that other state's concealed permitting (like Utah) would wave seat time and maybe just raise their application fee a bit? The latter is simply because I assume they get...

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

Thanks again Biggfoot44! As we all should perform our own due diligence I just chased down well over a couple dozen documents (state, federal and legal). Now I fully understand that given the combination of their ambiguity and lack of comprehensive central repository of law (by the states) they...

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

Thanks again Biggfoot44! I'll admit I'm beating a dead horse here with regard to PA law as I'm generally not comfortable with the thought of open carry in populated areas so kind of a moot topic. It will be nice though to take advantage of it in the federal & state parks. Still, much appreciate...

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

I really need to take a legal course so as to be able to fully understand legalese. From PA statute Title 18 Am I missing the designation differentiating OC vs. CC in the above? Suspect I'm looking in the wrong place. .

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

Great information from all! It's looking like FL non-res is a must for me. In addition to itself it provides just about all localities of interest to me. Funny that DE has been mentioned. I do have friends I visit at OC and Rehobth but because I traverse over the MD/DE line so much when there...

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

Appreciate the reply Mark392001. The usconcealedcarry.com site had me a bit excited on two levels. It first has you input resident state whether or not you have a carry permit issued by it, clearer info than the sites I referenced in my OP. Second was when I input FL as my permit state I...

A few questions about non-res CCW permits

Using concealedcarry.com (and handgunlaw.us) permit information I assume as a "deprived" MD resident I should leave the resident permit selection null and choose only the non-resident permit option? Since my desire is the option to CCW in Florida along with the bulk of Appalachian states am I...

      Searching for 14.5" HBAR

Yeah, I've got documentation out the wazoo. Still, probably not a bad thing either that I'm planning on plastic up front. Out-of-site and hopefully out-of-mind of those few (self appointed RO's) that feel the need to question any and every thing "they" deem inappropriate.

I really like your thinking. :innocent0

      Searching for 14.5" HBAR

This could get interesting -- Although I've not seen it in the context of a government document I've seen cut-n-pastes, supposedly from supporting documents, that a barrel either has to be marked/stamped HBAR OR the barrel description upon sale had to designate it as an HBAR. Now, the barrel...

      Searching for 14.5" HBAR

Appreciate the reply. A quick look at Spikes and I see two 14.5" barrels. They currently list one as a "lightweight" (.625 gas seat) while the other is CHF with "optimal" profile (.750 gas seat). Very possible lack of sales eschewed current offering of HBAR? What's interesting is they're only...
