In the pics I'm seeing all have rings attached.
I started canning in 2018 so no expert and I only can meat, Beef/pork/chicken and meals like beef stew so 90min@15psi. My initial research was that two things to do are remove rings so bad seals can be detected or won't be...

Would a purchase by a parent as a gift later, maybe on a birthday or Christmas, become a straw purchase? Would class of item make difference?
If the die bumps the shoulder then hasn't the case been fully sized? I don't know how much the shoulder moves upon firing but postulate that any movement would be at rear of case if headspace was wrong.

It's been in dry storage since I've had it, also bought at gunshow. Did you find yours to be good or mixed? I noticed when I finally found it online that one person was selling single bandoleers as collectible and the pictures had some rust/corrosion in small spots.
