Looking through the book, it was a busier year than I thought.

Very nice, I like that. One further collection to guns is the collection of original lithographs from the period of the Spanish American War. Didn't mean to steal your thread.
Absent Mindedness
Have you ever been to a Mountain Man Rendevous or other muzzleloading shoot? It's amazing how many times a shooter will step up to the shooting line to take his turn and ram a ball forgetting to pour the powder first.
03's are not dealers. I guess they think that only an 01 dealer can perform a background check. I'm not claiming to understand the logic, just stating what I see in trying to sell and ship a gun. The BATF defines antique, long gun, handgun, etc, then says the regulations of the post office...
Sometimes the seller might be an individual, like myself, who can't accept a C&R because that won't get it shipped. My closest shipper is the USPS. They tell me they can only ship from dealer to dealer, unless it's an antique.
I've got four Parker doubles with composite barrels; two plain twist, one stub twist, and one damascus. The oldest is the stub twist from 1874. The others are from the 1880's. The idea that they are never to be shot has been proven to be an old wives tale. It's true they should not be shot...
Verizon makes a lot of claims about their coverage, but it's totally lacking even here in Maryland. I live at Elliott Island in Dorchester County and Verizon doesn't work here. I changed to AT&T about five years ago. Works great, now.
