      I had a similar issue - listed bald instead of brown for hair color (although the former is becoming rapidly more true). I emailed MSP with a request to correct and they had it completed in under two hours.

      I'm pretty sure the law states you can transfer after the wait period for a private sale. Only an FFL has to wait for the NICS number. Sounds like the Trooper was giving opinion rather than fact.
