Frederick Sheriff and Dealer in Hot Water

I believe the strength of the case against Sheriff Jenkins rests with the exact guns being acquired under the auspices of the demo letter. If the guns were those commonly utilized by LE agencies today, he should be in safe territory. But if they were more along the lines of exotic, esoteric, or...

1895 Chilean Mausers- did not want to just put in water cooler.

To answer your original question, OWS-Ammo.com (Old Western Scrounger) is another DBA for the owner of Navy Arms, and is co-located in the same building.

new Ruger Redhawk 8 shot 357

Saw it, handled it, just didn't seem right to me. Although .357 is my all time fav for wheel guns, I'd rather have the Redhawk BP as a sixer in .44M or .45LC.

      New Marlins

My 1895GBL arrived today, and it appears to be mechanically sound in every way. The action cycles pretty smoothly with no gritty feel to it, at least not what I've read about elsewhere. Trigger pull is acceptable for a mass-produced gun, metal finish is average, and the sights appear to be lined...

      New Marlins

All things being equal, the 95CBA would have been my first choice, but it's not being offered up for anything near the same kind of pricing. It goes for more than double what I paid for my GBL.

      New Marlins

Got a smoking deal on an 1895GBL - after the rebate I'll be into it for $364.95 delivered. I don't much care for the laminate stock but, like Jimbob said, you can't beat these prices.

      New Marlins

I read an article on RealGuns.com comparing the Rem/Marlin immediately after the Remington takeover with the same model some 8,000 serial numbers later. Seems the first Rem guns were pretty rough, but the production problems got sorted out to where the guns are now properly finished, better than...

      1916 Mauser sporter 7MM

I got this e-mail from Old Western Scrounger yesterday evening... Also said they were scraping the bottom of the barrel on complete 7mm guns, and all they have left have cracked and dinged up stocks. The 7mm rifles are a great value, but I'm much more tempted to take the plunge on a .308 action.

      Hey and Howdy

Long-time lurker, silent supporter, and knuckle-dragging Neanderthal finally throwing myself into the fetid swamp of fellow gun owners. A 25-year veteran of the small arms industry, I have worked for a number of firearms-related manufacturers and organizations including Galco, H&K, Savage Arms...
