sounds like it's a lot of fun Marshmallow. I've only hunted public land on opening day in the past. Kinda makes you wish you wore a helmet most of the time. You folks that have private land/leases sure make me jealous. :)
We were told its a food impaction and not at all uncommon. I picked up a change in her condition on the trail cam about a month ago when a video showed the area oozing a lot of long strands of spittle. Turns out the impaction had eaten a hole through her cheek the size of a tennis ball...
Sounds like a great hunt guys! I'm generally in for these types of things, but tied up with work from the 13th through the 19th. Keep me in mind for other hunts!
If anyone would like to use me for lottery fodder for a blind site, I'd be happy to help if you can teach me what the hell to do and how all this blind-site stuff works!
Sorry about losing the bird, but what a great memory. Where I used to hunt in Virginia, I never saw a bird much less got off a shot. Seems like we've got them all over Calvert, so I'm excited to get out for a try this season. I'm going to try over at Smoky's.
So under for certain applicants, deer hunting will be allowed through March. We've got plenty of deer out here and they seem to mysteriously reappear when deer season closes. Don't expect this to make much of a dent, but should make some folks happy.
