Received the HQL today, 12/17/2013
Fingerprinted and submitted online app on 2-Dec and received the HQL today. United Security & Communications in Lothian charged $56.50 for the LiveScan. The online app is pretty easy to do; I wasn't required to do training component.
Now, if they could...
1984 is here now
When I was a teenager and read George Orwell's 1984, I thought "thank God this could never happen in America". Well, we have arrived and it's here now.
Corrected chart
It's 117,009, I just needed to widen the graph a bit. When I first started the graph, the numbers were only 5 digits, and now we've gone to six figures.
Backlog exceeds processed
For the first time the backlog has exceeded the number of apps processed. Also the rate of clearance has fallen to 47%. This is down from an average of 54%.
O'Malley's false private sector job claim
MOM claimed MD created all these private sector jobs, when in reality most of these jobs are with companies that sell services to the government. How many companies in MD actually make and sell something to non-government customers. That would be an...
Thanks for complete data
Thanks to ShallNotInfringe for filling in the missing data. If someone (besides us) was looking at the trend, it's been clearly obvious that they had a problem. The number of applications was growing faster than they could approve them (maybe that is the intent)...
Complete data?
I don't know how to get the older data, do you know how to get it? I would love to bring this back to the passage of SB281 (or thereabouts).
They'll never be done by 01 Oct.
I've been graphing the MSP "progress" for awhile and I don't see how they will get the backlog cleared by 01-Oct. The rate of people filing is increasing, the backlog is increasing and the total applications processed is flat to decreasing!
Ratio of cleared to Apps
I've been recording the data from MSP since 7/29 and it appears they are making a slight improvement in number of cleared to the number filed (2%). If anyone can supply me with data prior to 7/29 I'll make the chart more complete.
