      Foragers Guide

Anyone use an app for foraging? Looks like there are quite a few available, some free and some for a small fee.

I’ll look for those clips, I’ve never used them but could be useful on heavier plants. I typically just use a cheap jute or cotton string. At the end of that plants life I just clip it all away and if any goes into the compost it’s ok.

I’ve seen a few YouTube channels showing this method with conduit and they say the same, that it can sag. They suggested putting in supports closer together, so maybe it’s something you can try. I wonder if you could support the conduit by sliding rebar in? Not sure if that would make it to...

      Long term seed storage

No basement here, but I have a few metal boxes that I have seeds stored in tucked in a closet, so that works ok I guess. I’ve thought about picking up some of 4patriots seed packs to try, not sure if they are worth the cost.

      Long term seed storage

Great idea on the coffee filter! I’ve heard of using the silica gel packs also. I’ve dabbled in saving seeds but it’s something I want to do more of. So far I mostly have flower and herb seeds that I’ve harvested and kept.

      Long term seed storage

I keep a bank of seeds that I cycle through and replace but I’m unsure which seeds do best for long term storage. Anyone keep a long term storage bank of seeds?

I’m planning on the same line up, adding in some brassicas as well. Trying Parisienne variety of carrot from Baker Creek seeds, the long carrots never do well for me. We will be adding some cattle panel arches between the raised beds to extend our vertical growing space. I don’t think I’ll be...

I will be moving and expanding my garden this fall, hopefully planning a fall garden soon. What’s everyone planting for their fall garden?
