      Cool, thanks OrbitalEllipses.

Okay, so the best I can figure is I am sitting at 29.5 inches. I measured one of my rifles I keep here at work. OAL was 34" with a 16" upper minus the brake. Drop 4.5" and I end up at 29.5 without the muzzle brake. I guess that will do.

You know I never thought of adding to the stock. If I get a free min here, I am going to measure things up.

Not arguing sir and I completely agree. The last thing I want is to do this wrong. Just somethings seem a big silly. I figure I will document the length without the brake and anything extra is a bonus. Better to be over then under.

Stupid. Like I'm going to boil my barrel to take it off and save .5 inches. Dumb.

Thanks again pwoolford! I am going to rocksett the muzzle brake so that should cover that. Apologies if my posts are a bit annoying. Just do not want to do this wrong and "F" things up. Appreciate it. Swinokor thanks for the confirmation.

Cool. So I guess I measure the lower with the stock fully extended right? From there I can just use the standard measurement of an upper receiver and add 11.5 inches plus what ever fraction of measurement the quick attach muzzle break is for my suppressors. Sound right?

Thanks everyone for the input. I am going to take a guess here and say that the 29 inch thing is because of the MD law? I figured after 1 Oct last year, SBR's were no longer a go until I finally made it back on MDshooters and read other wise. I am going to run a 11.5 inch upper and the...

Thanks pwoolford! Looks like that will cover everything. Just don't want to do it wrong.

True, so true. Now that you mention it, it has been a bit painful to visit the restroom. Maybe a change in diet would work! Yeah man, off the weekend, but running around with the family and stuff. Had to run qualifications and a rifle school last week. Today is day 11 of 12 straight. Appreciate...

I know right. Just did some research, which I should have done before typing, and I think I have it figured out. Sorry, three small kids and working well over 100 hours this past two weeks has somewhat diminished my intellect. That, or all the lead I have ingested over the years. Thanks.

When I complete the form 1 online, I would assume I need to attach a digital copy of the trust? Also, how does the payment of the $200 work?

No worries there. The SBR I have is a factory SIG 556 SBR. No way in hell that will work on a traditional AR lower. But . . . I do have an AR pistol. Just to be safe, I moved the upper to a family members house that does not have any firearms.

Awesome. I wasn't sure since I went through a dealer for everything else. I appreciate the help!

      NFA Clarification

It has been some time since I have last been on, but I have a question about NFA. I currently have an NFA trust and own a SBR, SBS, and a couple suppressors. I own several AR's now and my SBR was purchased from the factory a few years ago. I want to register one of my lowers (built by me and...
