Maybe the live scans stay in the system more than 30 days. They would have to if the process takes 30 days to get to each person. If the live scan record was only available to them for exactly 30 days they wouldn't have anyone's when the time came.
That sucks. Why can't this be easier? So little public information or guidance yet if things aren't done a very specific way that isn't specified, "nope try again".
Stupid I guess.
I had to get around to scanning in my DD-214 as training. It was only about a week between live scan and paying. I put the LiveScan info in the system the day I got it done. I had no idea it would take this long to process. If it wasn't for this site I still wouldn't know any...

My LiveScan is over 30 days old now. Will I have to re-do them (another $60)??

Prints were done 2 weeks ago. Received a letter in the mail confirming my (lack of) criminal history last week.
I don't post much but I follow this thread.
I stumbled across this by accident and figured I'd share. It is on the State police web page - Designated Firearms Collector, under "2015 Bulletins & Advisories".
Seems to be in the wrong place as it pertains to Handgun Wear and Carry Permits...
