New hunter here too. It seems like a lot of hunters don't even consider Public lands/WMAs as an option. Are they that bad?
I went hiking in some of them (Frederick County) last week and it looks like there is potential. Someone please advise
A gun owner can actually be very vulnerable sometimes. All it takes is for someone to make an accusation and your collection can be gone in no time. We are held at a higher standard than non gun owners.
Reason why I never show my guns off. People I know have no idea what they look like, how...
It looks like you can. I was in a Deleware Walmart near Salisbury Maryland last month (right by the MD-DE state line) and the firearms salesperson (who seemed knowledgable for once) said they did it all the time without a problem. (This is not solid legal advice, but just mu 0.02 cents. Research...
Wow,
I appreciate the detailed responses. I think I need to take my time and research this some more before i go out and make a purchase.
Thanks to all.

1. A Deer/Field combo
2. A Deer/Waterfowl combo

I was wondering if (in Maryland) there are any restrictions with carrying and unloaded rifle in your trunk? Or do I have to drive straight home from the range to remove it?
How about if I crossed state line (into VA using route 15 from Frederick). Is it a wise thing to do?
Looking to get one of these specifically for the purpose of Deer hunting (home defense is not a concern here). Has anyone on here got experience deer hunting with these? Anything I should know before I buy?
Many of the puclic deer hunting places do not accept rifles, so this would be my...
Went there on the 10th for the 1st time (right at the opening, 10AM). I personally liked it. It's out in the woods on a hill. Yes it is a little noisy an a bit cramped but that didn't bother me too much.
These guys REALLY make you feel right at home. I hadn't shot anything since my father...
