Hopefully they don't consider reloading supplies "live ammo".
Can we turn the tables on this Ammo-free show? It could be the Free-Ammo show.
How about all the vendors put up a big sign at each table:
FREE AMMO WITH EVERY GUN PURCHASE!
Just a small nose rubbing. Buyers can pick it up...
There was one dealer with one bottle. Didn't note the price as I was looking for pistol powder (H110). That was early morning though, so I doubt it lasted the day...unless it was way overpriced.
Have the HQL. Been buying steady. Unfortunately the cash is low, and the safe is PACKED. Don't really have space prepared for anything more.... Well, perhaps an old mouse gun. Preferably an inexpensive old Beretta Minx in .22 short.
I'll have to agree. It is quite discouraging to wait in line, only to find out that a dealer believes the second amendment does not apply to MD residents. Certainly his right not to sell, but I also reserve the right not to buy anything else from him....ever! I think we neeed to get some MD...
I was at the Silverado show at Howard County Fair Grounds back on Sept. 14 & 15th. There was one guy there on Saturday who was hawking black powder revolvers. He had a couple of Pietta revolvers, a few nice presentation guns, and a couple of holsters. Unfortunately, the consumer in me came out...
Don't worry over catching crap for the Hi-Point. I have a few Hi-Points myself. It's not that I'm cheap, but I don't abuse my other toys as much because I have these inexpensive led throwers to play with. Plus, I like the fact that after 2 years I have only had 2-3 misfires, and one of those...
Was there on Saturday looking for a 4 inch nickel .357. Just dreaming I guess. But there was one guy there who was hawking my latest collection....black powder revolvers. He had a pair of twin Pietta revolvers, and a couple of holsters, but I had to do some research before making a buy...
As to crowds, I got there at 1:15 and there was no waiting at the doors, or the tables for that matter. Lou was waist deep in paperwork, and that was the only line in the building. When I left at 3:45 I would swear they were closing. I bet there weren't 40 customers in the whole building. With...
I have to agree with the poor show. There were small things to find on the second and third pass, but the ammo is still high, and the very few deals were for guns I was not looking for. Lots of non-gun tables, and a lot of empty tables as well.
This is getting a bit political, so perhaps it needs to move to the Maryland 2A forum. We do need to start fighting back somewhere. There are funding initiatives put out in every election. Perhaps we take up the mantra "No Guns, No Funds!" start voting down all of their Bond sales and other...
I'm stuck with Saturday, but it certainly beats work! Just hoping to find an ugly SKS cheap enough so I can try doing the plastic thing. I hope to have change left for an ugly Mosin to do the same.
I went to the sale. Some really nice guns, but there was a corporate buyer in the house taking things to 70-80% of full retail. I did manage to get a nice SA M1 Garand '52 and an Arisaka type 38 (full mum). I wanted to get a bayonet for the Jap, but someone was bidding them all through the roof...
