I'm all for this. Any outreach by the pro-2A crowd to reach out to other groups and gain support is awesome. The sad truth is that people who dress differently or are openly gay are often targets of assault. I may not agree with their lifestyle choices, but I certainly defend their right to...
I don't think I ever regretted purchasing a firearm. I wish to heck that I never sold my CZ40b, though. Miss that gun. Not a huge fan of 40 S&W, never felt that the bit of extra oomph was worth the lower magazine capacity and heavier recoil vs 9mm, though. That's why I sold it. But talk...
I will offer a 'guess' as to why more folks don't carry knives. About 5 guesses, actually. One guess went into a trash can outside the federal building in Baltimore when I needed to get a copy of my DD214 from the MD Veteran's Administration. One guess went into a trash can outside the...
My wife had been accompanying me to the range for years and when she was ready to purchase her first gun she chose a Ruger Mark. She has demonstrated the ability to safely and effectively use other calibers including 32ACP, 9mm, 40 S&W, but she is much more accurate and comfortable with her...
... makes me wonder if the inventor of this "rifle"/cartridge combo is trying to stir up the old "knockdown power" debate. This thing literally has "knockdown power" if it hits with the kinetic energy of a car moving at 20mph. As such... the recoil would also be like getting hit by a car if...
Cant believe nobody said it yet, but this would be great backup bugout gun or in a BOB.
Think about it, AR-15 in 5.56 is the hands down most popular rifle choice for a Bugout Rifle (Ammo/parts compatability with LE & ARNG being a major factor). Twould be kinda nice having a compact...
One of the springs in the lower parts kits can be installed backwards/upside down. Think it might be the aforementioned hammer spring. Worst part is that it will sometimes still function with the spring installed wrong and sometimes cause the hammer to not function correctly, which makes it...
IIRC, Freestate in Middle River allows holster draw but you need be LE or pass their training/qualification for it. One other nice thing about freestate is they allow rapid fire.
Most likely a 9 shot Taurus 94 revolver. I can pick up a couple more speed loaders, they are cheap enough.
For rifle, will probably bring my Mossburg 702 plinkster (detachable magazine version of Marlin 60). I have 2 or 3 mags for it.
I dont get the 'necessity' factor. Is this a situation where your ex wife moved to MD and to retain joint custody (and be a part of your kids lives) you had to follow? I get that. Its why I havent moved out of this God forsaken state. Other than that, nothing could get me to live here when...
I dont own one yet, but I have handled and fired the Bersa 380. It isnt bad. It isnt great. It IS good. Functions 100% if maintained properly and used by an experienced shooter. Like all blowback semi-auto designs, proper grip is very important and weak grip (limpwristing) will cause a jam...
One wonders about the 911 call. If i call before i investigate, I am telling dispatch to inform the responding officers of my attire & that I am armed with whatever type of firearm that i choose to use. No need to tell them model number or caliber, just tell them you have a revolver, pistol...
Sorry, forgot to update sooner. Fingerprinted 1/8, applied online 1/10, online checklist completed 1/30, card received first week of February. About 23 day total turnaround from application submission to card in hand.
Cool thing is I found a sweet Taurus 94 (22LR 9 shot revolver) in SS...
