The wood is flawless but I have since replaced it with a correct wartime stock covered in dents and dings, just the way I like 'em. I wore the SOCOM patch to Desert Storm when I was assigned to the 4th PsyOps Group. AATW!- Jumpmaster!

Update: I found a correct wartime "EMcF" stock online and some matching handguards at a local gunshow to replace the CMP stock. The cartouches are faint but visible and the stock bears some trench art cut into the wood. Some lonely GI carved the name "Gisele" on one side and used a bullet...- Jumpmaster!

The stray cartridge is headstamped "Superspeed 30-06 SPRG" and is fairly old. It is indistinguishable from the other cartridges and attracts a magnet. I can shoot it from my M1903-A3.- Jumpmaster!

"I’m confused. This is all the ammo you’ll ever need?" No, I have some HXP ammo that I got from the CMP. The enbloc clip and ammo was just something that I found at a gun show this weekend. I bought it to go with the '43 Springfield M1 that I got from the CMP.- Jumpmaster!

If anyone has a single 30-06 cartridge with a headstamp of "DEN 43", I would like to buy it from you. At the Eastern Shore Arms Collector show on Sunday I picked up an enbloc clip of ammo that I thought was all headstamped "DEN 43" but somebody stuck a single commercial cartridge in the clip...- Jumpmaster!
