      My new toy (50 BMG)

That's what I figured. My buddy bought a Barrett and took a safety class and that's where he heard the "keep mouth open" rule. It was probably just a liability thing.

      My new toy (50 BMG)

I've never shot a 50bmg before but have heard that you should keep your mouth open when you shoot so the compression wave won't blow out your ear drums. Not sure how true it is though.....

      The Official AR-15 Picture Thread

My first ever ar build. Probably my favorite. It all started with a good shooting barrel. Used to have a dpms tubular hanguard until recently. Replaced it with a Yankee Hill. Replaced the Harris bipod with a atlas.

Side Charging AR a legal MD configuration

I see nobody has mentioned Fulton armory. I don't own a side charge ar but I do own some Fulton armory stuff and its top quality. Looks like they are making a ar10 side charger too. http://www.fulton-armory.com Oh and they are located in MD if you like supporting businesses in your backyard.

      MN M44 ?

Get both. But the Yugo first, it is a very finely made rifle. Then Go to sgammo and get a case of both 8mm and 7.65x54, then get some more.

thoughts on a remington 700 vtr ss 308?

Does it have to be. 308? For long distance and shoulder friendly look at the 6.5 Creedmoor or. 260 rem. With. 308 you are going to have many more options though.

      Another awesome Alabama pawnshop find

Very nice. You have a date when it was manufactured? S&w offers a pretty cool service on thier website. They can send you a authentication certificate for a few bucks. http://www.smith-wesson.com/firearm-history-request

I have alot of family out of state and I've done my fare share of driving through Western PA. I pass alot of gun store but always been in a rush to stop. There is a large one near breezewood I think in the town of Everett that I've been meaning to check out. I'm gonna have to keep my eyes open...

      Fn49

It's gonna be a little bit until I can smooze the wife again into letting me get another gun. I just picked up another sks a couple weeks ago. I want a Fn49 to be my next addition. The more I learn now the less chance I'd be overpaying when I decide to pull the trigger. Now if I see another all...

      Fn49

About all I know about this rifle is that I want one. I've never seen one in person. What should one look for before buying one. Do these rifles have any real historical significance or are they just a cool old gun. I have a feeling that the prices are going to start to increase like I've seen...

Buying a rifle at chantilly gunshow

Make sure you have multiple forms of ID. Unopened pieces of mail to further prove you live where your ID says. I've bought a few times at the dulles show and I'm from md and everytime they wanted multiple forms to prove who you are.
