Supposedly it's diamond hard and self lubricating. I have the NiB coating on my AR bcg and it requires little to no oil and I have yet to see any chipping/flaking of any kind. If you get your coating done by WMD guns, apparently they warranty the coating FYI. I also kinda like the look of it...
I myself thought about getting an aimpoint pro but ended up settling on a burris tac30 which offers an illuminated 1-4x. the 1x doesn't seem to be a true 1x but its close enough and the 4x should help you out when shooting out to further ranges. I've also heard good things about the burris MTAC...
From what I've been reading people seem to be complaining that the red-green strikefires are too dim under sunlight. Does anyone have any experience with these?
