      Ruger Gunsite Scout

Could consider the CZ 527 carbine same caliber that does have iron sights.

      Powder Question

It’s Limited, but in my experience: Pyrodex as main charge is ok but not ideal. Perfectly safe just difficult. The substitute powders ignite a few hundred degrees higher than real black powder. They are hard to ignite in a flintlock. A percussion cap gun (cap lock) makes more flame more...

      Dealer Info - Medusa Munitions

I had a great experience buying two guns, and sundries, from Joe and Mary. Good prices, great service, awesome people. It’s worth the drive.

"Short" & Sweet Mossberg 1 hour Modification Project

The exception is the federal flight control wad that’s meant for cylinder bore. Reports are that it patterns worse (pattern opens up sooner/less even) with any choke.

      Garden Thread - 2021

Small is beautiful I’m no expert, but what has worked for us is to keep it small and well managed. Look for a book called Square Foot Gardening. We have three kids. Everyone has a box they’re responsible for...and hopefully proud of. Especially if you’ve never gardened very much before...

      Ruger American rifle

The CZ 572 in same caliber seems to be mentioned often as well. FYI as another potential option.

      Lever gun caliber?

So many awesome guys here. Thanks for all the info and suggestions. I ended up feeling that there were no really wrong choices of cartridge in that list. And relative to semis, mag-fed, 80% guns, the commies in Annapolis and DC. Shouldn’t get around to hindering lever gun sales too soon...

      Lever gun caliber?

Thanks occam, appreciate the feedback. We have several.22s including older Winchester pumps and Remington speed master. I will definitely get a .22 lever, but the deer caliber and the excuse to start reloading is probably getting my wallet first.

      Lever gun caliber?

Not considering bottle neck calibers, won’t be able to hunt with them in Queen Anne’s co. Thanks

      Lever gun caliber?

I want a lever action rifle. I’ve shot a few and really enjoyed it, so I want a Chuck Connors/John Wayne/American as apple pie-rifle (without the large loop-don’t like it). I have some military caliber stuff but really just shoot.22, shotgun, and muzzleloader. My kids and I hunt deer and...

      USA made fishing gear

I’ve stopped by Anglers, dicks sporting goods, Walmart, and have not seen one rod or reel not made in China. I’m trying hard to buy nothing from that evil gulag. Anyone know of a USA made fishing co. With a dealer around here or a direct order website? Amateur fishing with three kids...not...
