Called Ms. Bock today and she actually picked up the first time (that's a first). She said my 3/22 application is complete (there was no mention of review) and should have been faxed back yesterday or today. I called continental and they don't have it yet. Im not holding my breath, but today...
So last week I was on an application kick and submitted my applications for a Utah and Virginia CCW. While I was at it, I got the MD collectors app, filled it out, and took it with me to get notarized along with my Virginia CCW app. I then mailed them all away.
I have been in the market for...
Not trying to spur a big debate here. I am simply going with Kimbers because I have used a few friends models that they love, I like how they feel, and to me at least it simply seems like their fit and finish is much better than most other production 1911's.
That's what I'm thinking. I'm not going to be the type to get more than 1-2 pistols. So I am ok spending more to get a really high quality gun with a lot of features that I will still be using years and years from now.
The ones I'm looking at were selling for MSRP as well. But it's still a little better than paying transfer fees for one. Or waiting 18 months to order one.
At least that's my logic as of now. I feel like prices aren't coming down anytime soon.
They do have some good prices, unfortunately most things are sold out. Thanks for the tip though.
Awesome advice. Thanks so much! I am keeping an eye out on gunbroker almost daily.
I still haven't been able to find a Matte Black Custom TLE/RL. I did find one used one, but it was...
Thanks for the tips. I checked Bud's but all the models I am interested in are out of stock. I looked up SSG Tactical but they don't list Kimber on their website? I will try to give them a call tomorrow.
Thanks for checking this out. I would rather have a matte black TLE/RL but I might have...
I would prefer a full size pistol, but I could live with a pro. I found one full size at a pawn shop in bel air but it is used. I am going to check that one out soon and based on it's condition I will get back to you.
This is awesome info! Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
I stumbled upon this earlier and went through their list, unfortunately they don't have anything that interests me.
Thanks for the info on the FFL, I was reading about the fired shell case a bit and that seems to be a hassle...
Not sure if this is in the right section of the forum...if it's not, feel free to move it.
I've searched a bit and found a bit of info on this, but I was hoping to get some advice from someone here who has done this before.
I have been looking for Kimber for a few weeks, and it seems all the...
I'm not looking to carry it (we are in Maryland after all..) but yes the .45 definitely is nice. And I may be looking at an alloy frame as opposed to steel to save some weight.
I was at free state the other day and didn't see any Kimbers...ill have to check again.
Ill look into those 9mm's...
Thanks for all the info everyone! I've read all about the 9mm/.45 debate for a while now and basically have come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter, as long as you practice practice practice with what you have.
I do like 9mm for the cheaper rounds and bigger magazine capacity...
Just joined today! I've been on here a few times before but am looking into my first major handgun purchase so I figured I'd get on here and do my research first!
I live on a farm so I have been lucky enough to have access to many guns as I grew up.The newest addition to my collection is a...
