      SB387 "Public Safety - Untraceable Firearms" - The Ban on Private Firearm Making

      If MD follows the ATF marking guidelines and I'm reading things correctly, you can mark your receiver (say F-Frosh01) and then the FFL can choose to use the existing markings and only need to preface it with their license number. So the official registered number becomes 1234567-F-Frosh01.

      Sister? More like great-grand daughter would be better for me. Ok, the serious answer seems to be keep looking for a mark. I didn't take off the grips - that's about the only place I didn't check.

      Does anyone know how to date Uberti handguns? I've a Uberti model 1875 Army (not the current Army Outlaw), imported by EMF. Serial is 09xxx. I saw elsewhere there should be a two letter code but I can't find anything on mine - just the crest, U and PSF.

      My girlfriend got me some old funky looking bookends for christmas. The problem is that the bulk of them is old wood, and hence not very heavy. I was thinking of getting brass bases made to make them heavier. Anybody have a mill in their garage who would do some quick machining? Or a shop...
