Do you know what my favorite part of this thread is??
How a bunch of guys without vaginas or uterus's are arguing about what's best for those of us who do have them and occasionally use them to grow lifeforms. It's so reminiscent of the abortion battle it's almost spooky.
You don't see me...
It was a good class. The live fire portion was disappointing. I was hoping for a larger caliber rifle, but they had a .22lr. They did have a 20 gauge slug gun. I got really good information during the discussion portion of the class. Also spoke to a reporter from the Frederick News-Post...
Yeah. I just look at it as a learning experience. I had a good experience with Captain Dale last season so I will try to set up some additional hunts with him this season. He was booked solid for the early season when I contacted in August (whenever I made this thread) and there is probably a...
I have this same gd issue with people on my fav hiking trail who pick up their dogs sh&t in a bag, and then leave the bagged poo right on the side of the trail. Christ, if you're gonna do that, then just leave the poo.... at least the poo will biodegrade. :banghead:
This also incenses me. It...
No idea. As I said... compared to the other guided hunts I have been on, I just wasn't impressed. $150 isn't chump change to me, so I go and expect to be impressed with good service/ effort at the least. I know the animals are never guaranteed... but scouting is kind of why we're paying a guide.
Disappointing day. Not so much because we didn't shoot any birds, but because the guide service wasn't what I expected for $150 per gun. We were in layout blinds in a field, and the blinds to me were very uncomfortable. I do not think I will ever pay to sit in a layout blind again, personally...
I am just full of questions today...
I just bought my new season hunting license today at Walmart. Got my regular license, bow stamp, MD Migratory bird stamp and the federal duck stamp.
The federal duck stamp date says "9/18/14-11/01/14." Why does it say that? Does it not last the whole...
Okay.
For the record, going to talk to these guys about setting up some later season hunts, too. I'll post once I know more. I'd like to do a Saturday, and then one weekday hunt over my Christmas break (between Christmas and New Years).
You had me understanding until this.
I think maybe I should add this statement to my signature, I say it so often.
AND THEN THEY WONDER WHY HUNTING IS A DYING SPORT.
Must be nice to have been the lucky one born knowing where to hunt and when. :sad20:
I'm tearing my house apart and can't find the #&$%#@! plug that came with my semi-auto. Can someone confirm that I do NOT need a plug for early goose? That seems to be the impression I get from my guide--
