      Hunting Airgun Recommendation

Just out of curiosity, what are you trying to optimize for? Air works, but are usually noisier than subsonic, quiet, or 22 short un-suppressed rifles in most cases.

      Fillet Knife and sharpening

The Victorinox (formerly Forschner*) 6 inch Semi-Stiff, boning knife is also a pretty good boning knife that the Bearded Butchers use. They don't state what SS is used on the blade but it does the job.

      Fillet Knife and sharpening

Unless you are stone impaired like I am. :-) I have tried, stones, Lansky, and similar rod systems, Edge pro, Work Sharp, Magic Chefs, Hone, and 2" vertical knife belt sanders. Diamond, steel and ceramic "steels" between sharpenings. The Hone, (cylindrical diamond stone) is fool proof for...

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

Since I resurrected a 2 year old thread I figured you wanted to know why based on your comment. I hope this clears things up for you. No offense was intended. Cheers.

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

20 G DBS and thanks, this is just want I wanted to confirm and plan to do. It breaks down and can fit into a small hard lockable case.

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

I did not want to start a new thread. My question was about BurkeM's inner baggage comment and I won't be flying out of DCA.

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

I was always planning on declaring the FA w/ TSA, insuring same etc., just wanted to put them in my duffel and keep everything together to prevent loss/sticky fingers. Is this OK or must the case be a separately checked ?

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

First time flying w/ a side by side to MT. You mention inner luggage which is what I want to do in order to hide the hard locked g-case from inquisitive baggage handlers in large soft duffel w/ my other stuff. Is it better to do this or check the gun case separately from the duffel bag...

      Ospreys are back

Me too. The Osprey's catch a fish, then have to dogfight with an Eagle who usually wins, then it has to catch another fish.

      Thermal and preparedness.

You remind me of me. :-) They need to update their instructions for the bluetooth connectivity steps because I had the same problem. IMHO, this is the best value 640 thermal on the market right now and especially for under 200 yards around here. IIRC, there are at least 4 zeroing presets...

      Ospreys are back

I saw my first Osprey today that is about 1 week earlier than usual. Since the Zoyzia is starting to turn green I guess Spring has sprung.

      Silencer Shop vs Silencer Central

SC has e-forms and will ship the can to your home no local FFL required which is very convenient. Once you do the finger printing etc the first go around, this is no longer required since they already have your info on file making subsequent purchases very easy with most pre filled out forms...

If you could only have 1- .308 rifle

Nice choice! The Standard is sub MOA also and a tad lighter.

      Freight Train Karma?

The tracks are pretty straight along there so probably not an accident. I lived about 1 mile from that location back in the '80s
