On August 1, 2023 North Dakota will be Permitless Carry for any one who can legally possess a firearm under ND and Fed Law. No longer will they be limiting it to residents only.
Thanks. I have the correct law sited. What I missed was removing a reference in a Note I put under the quoted law. That will be removed. Thanks Again!!!
Thank you for the kind words about Handgunlaw.us and what we do.
rambling_one I had forgot about that. I certified a few others for Utah. Utah required me to travel to Utah for a 4 hour class to keep that certification. Not worth it.
I don't post much. Mainly look for mentions of Handgunlaw.us...
Again you state just about all maps were WRONG! Please show me just one! I will Wait. If you can't post one I will accept a Public APPOLOGY! You don't bad mouth the work someone has been doing for 16+ years on Handgunlaw.us and 27 Years Plus with researching the Different States Carry Laws.
The first thing you have to do is look at the Legend on a map. Without looking at the legend a map MEANS NOTHING!
Every page at Hanadgunlaw.us has a URL. Post that URL that shows any map showing PA honoring a MD Permit! I will wait!
Plus do post every link for all the maps you say are WRONG...
I don't post much. Just watch and learn about things especially changes. When I can help I do. I see every time the word handgunlaw.us is posted here. I run a google advance search for handgunlaw.us. It showed this post and I checked it to see I missed something that should be added to the site...
knastera, Nothing changing Open Carry has happened in PA for many years. Open Carry was always legal. Carry of any kink in a vehicle required a permit PA issued or any permit issued by any state. The link will take you to a Bulletin put out by the PA Chiefs of Police on Open Carry in...
The Court Ruling can be read here
http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/agopinions/DESuperiorCtStatePark_ForestCarry.pdf
Nice thing about this ruling is look at the last few pages. They put the rule as before and struck thru the parts that the judge stated was unconstitutional. Made it easy to...
Under PA Code the Sheriff does not have any discretion to either issue or not issue a permit to carry in PA If the applicant meets the requirements. He must issue. If he doesn't issue a permit the Sheriff must put in writing why the permit was denied. PA is a Shall Issue state. Sheriff's who...
Sheriffs in PA are doing things in numerous ways. Some will not issue and know that by law a Non-Resident can apply but won't even let them. They do this as they don't pay any price for not going by the laws they swore to uphold. You can take a sheriff to court and make him issue you a permit...
One more follow up. It is statute so there could not have been an Administrative Rule Change without us seeing or hearing about such a change as it would have been talked about a lot in the different firearm news/blogs/forums etc etc...
I should have added this link http://www.psp.pa.gov/firearms-information/Pages/Carrying-Firearms-in-Pennsylvania.aspx
Scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see it states the below and this is what the person read and thought to apply you needed to be a resident of the state they have...
One Problem PA has is that there are Sheriffs that will not issue to non-residents. I had one tell me years ago after he wouldn't even give me an Application and wouldn't issue me one anyways, "Sue ME!" So call ahead or check out the sheriffs website to see if they issue. The Pennsylvania...
The below is quoted out of context. This wording is for someone to legally be able to carry a firearm in Pennsylvania. You have to have a permit Issued or Honored by PA to carry there. This has been on the PA State Police site for years. I have talked to them about them stating Resident permits...
