I've got a TLR-8 on my Glock 19 and really like it. I would suggest seeing what standard light holsters are out there for the firearm/light combination you're looking to purchase, or add about $100 for a new custom holster too (which isn't necessarily such a bad thing)!!:party29:
Mailed Mod Form 8/6 - Check cleared 8/15 - Permit mailed 8/22 & received 8/24.
I'm thankful that the ambiguity is gone and I don't have to prove that I'm "conducting business" or being "actively engaged in security" everywhere I go. :)
I renewed my VA NR permit back in 2018. Submitted on May 9, received payment acknowledgement letter on May 18, and received the permit about 4 months later on September 14. Again, this was 2018. Hopefully they've cleared the backlog. Good Luck on timing
Take it for what it's worth, and I'm not sure when they updated it, but this message appears, in red, on the Handgun Wear and Carry Permit page of MSP's licensing division:
Please note: Licensing Division is committed to processing all Handgun Permit Modification requests within 45 days...
This is just an FYI for anyone attending events at the arena.
My family and I went to the Tobymac concert here in Norfolk last Friday night. I searched various places on the interweb to determine if I should try to CCW to the concert. Old Dominion University is not very 2A friendly, but I...
I received my PA NR permit from York County and the deputy who issued it to me was flabbergasted by the draconian gun laws in MD. They called about 2 days after they received my application, and it was a very pleasant experience.
When transferring to a friend, I realize this system must be utilized. However, I'm unclear if a trip to the barracks is still necessary after completing the 77R online.
Can anyone help me out?
I think MN is trying to put it's hat in the race for most restricted firearms laws with CA, MD and NY. :mad54:
The bright side is that with all the states trying to add constitutional carry, the national trend is moving in the right direction........despite what is still happening here in MD.
Owning your own business or having your employer write a letter stating why you should carry a firearm greatly increases your chances of obtaining a Wear and Carry Permit. They (the legislature and the MD State Police) set up the hoops, so if you're willing to jump through them, it is entirely...
I agree that it probably won't happen. I've got 8 state permits (including MD) and can't carry in Minnesota. I've only been there once before, but hey, you never know.
The bill had 6 sponsors, all with a D behind their name. If you look at the House and Senate voting record, it's pretty much along party lines.

I voted no.
Had my interview on day 52 and received permit on day 92. My spouse had her interview on day 34, and received her permit on day 111. Go figure. This was back in 2015.
