      This is exactly how I feel and why I had the question in the first place, if you are approved for HQL you certainly should be approved for HGP W&C.

      They changed then, my Florida renewal was probably 3 months ago and W A S said they don't do ink prints at that time which was probably September this year

      That must be new then, when I asked them if they did ink prints they said no. And said to go to Annapolis City PD

      Florida renewal for me required ink prints done by LEO. They would not accept live scan Hard to find a department that does then. Annapolis City PD did mine.

      He has purchased one. I was with him when he picked it up. That is what I can't understand is if he can get approved for a HQL why not the HGP. Seems to me the HQL should be harder to obtain.

      No run ins with law, no medical Marijuana card nothing. To me it seemed odd that they would approve a HQL and not the HGP. He said that is was something with CJIS was the reason for turn down.

      Not sure, I will ask him tomorrow. I told him I would ask on here to see if anyone has experienced the same thing. He actually just picked up his 1st gun after the 7 day waiting period. So certainly he will file the appeal or hire legal counsel to do it for him.
