1911s are “obsolete.”
While I'm not a huge 1911 fan, I own a few. The 1911 played a part in winning a couple of wars, I think that speaks for itself. Many shooters get caught up with the next shinning gun. The 1911 is tried and true. One can with practice do very well with magazine changes. Chris -

ISO threaded Sig P220r 3.9” barrel
Sig specs on P220R states a 4.4" barrel so the 4.9" should be fine. I had a threaded one for my P-228 that was about 1/2" longer and it worked fine. Sold as I didn't want to go $800 for a suppressor w/stamp. Chris -

Sig Recommendations
Any Sig is a good Sig to own. I have 20+ year old guns as well as less then a year guns and they all shoot better than I do and they work. I mainly have the P series plus some of the 1911 series. Buy one and enjoy, Chris. -

Back to the question. I carry the weapon I'm most proficient with which happens to be my Sig P228. It's med size but I also carry two extra magazines so I adapt my clothing to the weapon not the other way. I could carry a mouser but why when I can wear an untuck shirt as you mentioned or a vest...- Chris
