What do I need to think about while getting ready to carry?

I guess reading comprehension has gone down so I'll explain. January 1969, alley off P street, two shots fired. April 1988, no shots needed subjects ran. Sunday morning Memorial Day 2018, no shots fired, subject ran off when gun was pointed. I'll draw pictures if you need them.

What do I need to think about while getting ready to carry?

This guy is the only one here that gets it right.:thumbsup: The first time I used a gun it was like 3 feet. the second time it was like 10 feet. the third time was maybe 6 or 7 feet. Last two times no shots needed to fired. they didn't want any holes in them and ran at the first...

What do I need to think about while getting ready to carry?

I escaped from Maryland in 2015 to Texas, and have been carrying everyday since since I got my permit. They passed open carry here in January of 2016, but tis extremely rare to see anyone open carrying. Just not done a lot in Georgetown Texas. But people do carry conceal. I went through a...

      Double Action 22 Revolver

Over the past few months I've been shooting a Ruger LCR in .22 that has impressed the heck out of me. Accurate, reliable and the double action is better than a S&W J frame. Light on the hip you forget it's there.

      Double Action 22 Revolver

I don't know why, but there just seems to be way way less duds with rimfire revolvers. I've had extremely few with either my Ruger LCR or S&W 63. Both leave very deep dents in the rims, and I think that the external hammer just has more of an impact.

      Ruger LCP II .22 LR

I may end up with one in the very near future. My arthritis is giving me fits with small .380's, and my LCP is getting to be a bit much for me. A bit too painful to shoot. For the past three months I've reverted back to carrying my NAA mini revolvers for daily CCW. After 30 plus years I'm very...

Tax on Guns, Ammo in Tacoma: It's Starting

Thank God I'm in Texas! Ya'll need to come on down and live free. All the guns not on the roster are for sale here. The governor here has signed bills into law that now make school grounds and churches legal for gun carry. In any declared state emergency theres no need for a carry license for...

      Liberal View Of the Constitution

Thats what happens when you give 6 year old soccer players a trophy for second place. They never learn to lose.

Is the .380 closing on the 9mm?

This question was started by a conversation with a gun counter salesman at one of the Academy Sports here in the Austin Texas area. I buy a fair amount of .380 ammo to shoot through my two Rugged LCP's. I love the small size and ease of carry of them. I noticed that my local Academy was a...

      Ruger customer service is great!!!!

So I love my LCP. Both of them. They are my carry gun, and being so light and compact, its also my home defense gun as its in my pocket from time I put my pants on in the morning until I go to bed at night. If I'm up and dressed, my Elcie is in my pocket. I don't want to have to go get a gun...

      Home Defense / Range Pistol

I no longer have range guns, and haven't for quite a few years. All my handguns are of the small concealed carry type, and for home defense I use shot guns. Have two Ruger LCP's for daily carry, and if I have pants on, theres an LCP in a pocket. Next to the bed is a small Mossberg pump 20 gauge...

Revolver vs semi auto for EDC

For most my life I was a dyed in the wool wheel gun guy, but over the last few years I've gone over to the dark side.:D Before leaving The People's Republik Of Marylandistan, I had sold off all my revolvers, and now in Texas I find myself having fallen in love with the small .380 Ruger LCP. I...

      What would you carry

I guess I'd just carry what I've been carrying this past year. Since getting my Texas carry license three years ago, I've experiment with some different guns. Real world carrying, every single day. Put pants on in morning and have gun on me until I take off pants to go to bed. The Ruger...

      New Ruger LCP II

Yeah, but I like to do some practice at 20 to 25 yards, so at 5 to 7 yards the half size silluette seems as big as a barn door. All a matter of perspective. Plus, these days with mass shootings, you may have to take a shot at a longer range. I like to how that the gun and I are capable of it, if...
