Alphabrew, I'll see you there tomorrow?
Ragnar, it's as physically demanding as you make it. It's a good workout even for someone who's in decent shape, but you can step away to catch your breath/get water/etc anytime you need to. Even doing the jogging/exercises, you can more or less go at...
(Bringing this thread back from a couple months ago, I know.)
A friend and I each got a 'cheap' 30 day trial period and had our first class yesterday. I bicycle regularly, but have not lifted/ran/done push-ups in a couple months, and it is a good workout. I'm aiming for 3 days/week, and will...
Tried Founder's last weekend. I had the 'bacon & blue' burger with applesauce for the side, and it was pretty good. It seemed like we waited a while for our food even though it wasn't very busy in there, but overall good experience and will likely go back.
I'll have to try Wingman, pretty close to me too.
It's a shame about the BWW chain. There's a BWW in PA that I loved going to when I lived there. I was so excited when I first saw BWW go up in Arundel Mills ...until I went there. Mediocre food and horrible service. I thought maybe it was an off...
Thanks for the advice CCPatriot! I do plan on talking it up a little bit and getting her comfortable with having a gun before I take her to the range and get her shooting.
I was able to pick it up today! I went straight to the range and put 50 rounds of .38 spl through it. I love the grip and...
Hey guys, thanks for all the welcomes and the helpful links! The one I got is blued. I'll post a picture as soon as I bring it home. They told me 2 weeks, though I know some people have been waiting longer than that.
Hello all, I'm Pat. I've been lurking the forums for quite a while, and while I always knew that I wanted to get a gun (or 2 ..or 3 ...or you know how it goes), today I finally went to the local store, went through all of the motions, and bought a Ruger GP100 .357 magnum revolver with 4" barrel...
I requested my application a couple days ago. I got an e-mail that said I should have the application in 2-3 weeks. Also, I'm still legally a PA resident as well, and have a good house address in PA, so next time I'm there, I might go ahead and get the PA LTCF also. (LOL, I can see it now. I go...
Cool, thanks guys. Ya, I saw those videos with Jerry Miculek in the other thread. I'm going to try to learn some of those tips, and use them next week when I go fire again.
Hey thanks again for all the advice guys! And those are some pretty nice looking peices you've got there Zoostation!
Oh, and when I was firing the .357, I had no problem squeezing the trigger slowly to fire. But when I was firing the .38, if I squeezed it too slowly, it would click and not...
Haha, no disrespect taken. I have little experience firing these types of guns and no training. The M9 has the "snowman" style aiming, and I think I'm ok at that. With the .357, I was putting the front sight post between the "prongs" of the rear sight and at first I was aiming it directly at...
Ya, initially I wanted to get a small one in case I was to CC. I'm stationed in MD and live in MD, but still hold my PA residency so I could get a PA LTCF or even a FL non-resident CCW. But that would only benefit me when I'm in the states that honor them. I'm still debating whether or not I...
