multiple gun safes vs mega safe?

When the foundation was poured for our new house it included an area under the front porch. Our builder does this for all the houses he builds. I had him put studs and plywood walls up, nothing fancy. I put up my existing gun racks and and an UpHolddisplay wall on one side. The room is...

Live in Md and looking for good places to buy used OU 12 shotgun for Clay Sports

Take the drive to Joel Etchen guns in Ligonier, Pa. They have Browning and Beretta clay guns. Cove Creek Outfitters in Bedford is another good place. I bought my Blazer F16 there. P&G Shooting Center carries Beretta clay guns and they can help out.

Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

Might I suggest that you sign her up for a shooting lesson at PG. No matter the gun, if it doesn't fit you will perceive more recoil and not hit as many targets. There are women specific shotguns that address the fit issue. My field guns are much lighter than my dedicated Sporting Clays gun. I...

How to authenticate a WWII Marine Corps helmet?

I have my father's Ike uniform from the 1950's He was in the Army from 1948 until 1979. His ribbons on the Ike jacket are sewn on and not pin on ones. His SFC stripes are a OD color.

Looking for an accurate rimfire pistol for plinking

Trailside 22lr A used Trailside is an excellent choice, although I don't know what they are going for. It was made by Hammerli for SIG. Hammerli is now owned by Walther and it is still made and called the Xesse. I think Champions Choice has them for around $1000. I use it regularly in Bullseye...

      Browning or Beretta

Cove Creek Outfitters in Bedford also has a good selection of shotguns. I bought my Blazer F16 Sporting from them. As a bonus they have free shipping and will mail it to your FFL and avoiding PA and MD tax. The key is finding one that fits or nearly so. Although I am a Beretta guy, having...

      22 cal 1911 plinker

My SIG Trailside is very reliable and still sold as the Xessse. I'm told it is the poor man's Hamerli.

22lr Ammo for those in need

A recent financial article I read states that Vista Outdoors (owners of Federal, CCI and now Remington) currently have 1 billion dollars worth of orders for ammunition as of late December. That was before the bought Remington the trademark and the ammunition division. One billion!

      Cleanshot - Bore Cleaner

Not worth it, perhaps! I bought some of those last year and used them a couple of times after pheasant and grouse hunting. I use B&P ammunition which uses a clean burning powder. So in my case it didn't do much. If you use dirtier ammo such as Federal, it might be worthwhile.

      CMP 1911's

CMP Pistol I received my CMP 1911 today after a 21 day wait. MSP clerks kicking back, the last time saying it wasn't on the Handgun Roster! Brandi of Bollingers Gunsmithing finally got it resolved, Thanks Brandi! I got the call from CMP the end of last month. Three grades were...
