      Because I don't have the indoor space and storing the gallons outdoors would cause the same problems as storing the 55 gallon drums outdoors.

      Talking about storing water in the rain barrel over winter. I know how to dump out a barrel ;). De-icers mentioned above may do it.

      Is there any way to keep a rain barrel outdoors during winter? I don't have the space indoors but am concerned about the water freezing and wrecking everything.

      I don't like the gunvaults because they are electric. Especially the ones on battery. You'd be surprised how often that battery dies. Get one that plugs in if you get one of those. I recommended the Fort Knox Pistol box. Its all mechanical. It ain't cheap but the quality is excellent.

      What kind of scope mount are you guys using on a scope like this? I see the OP mentioned LaRue but I'm not prepared to drop $200 on it. I'm aware of the Burris but has anyone got an opinion on a quality mount for a scope like this which is more budget minded than a LaRue? Preferably QD.
